• Sutton Poyntz Society Coffee Morning in the Mission Hall attracted an even bigger crowd than usual. Perhaps having to stay in during the recent bad weather made people eager to get out on what was quite a pleasant morning. Everyone had been invited to bring along their favourite book and the reason for their choice, which proved very interesting. I should be able to take part next year, by which time I should have finished a book! As always the good conversation was punctuated by pauses for coffee and delicious homemade cake and the ladies in the kitchen were kept busy. The next coffee morning is on Friday 6 December between 10.30am and noon, when the charity Waves will be demonstrating the good work they do.
