• Anna Watson tells me that the Odyssey Majorettes, who train at Preston Village Hall on Saturday mornings, have just celebrated their first birthday, so congratulations to them. Over the past year they have taken part in Weymouth events and the Dorchester Carnival, and would like to thank all members and families for their constant support, plus the Lions club for the new music system and Bob's Cars in Dorchester for the carnival vehicle. Anna says it's been a wonderful 12 months and all the Majorettes are looking forward to the coming year. New members - girls and boys aged 3 to 16 - are always welcome.
